Systems Thinking
Seeing the whole system — and designing with intention.
Overview
My career has consistently centered around understanding systems — environmental systems, GIS-based emergency response networks, SaaS communication platforms, and full-stack web architectures.
Working in environmental science taught me how interconnected variables shape outcomes. Working inside a global SaaS company showed me how digital systems influence real-world behavior at scale. Studying full-stack engineering allowed me to see how infrastructure, data flow, and interface design all interact within a single product ecosystem.
I approach problems by zooming out first — identifying relationships, dependencies, user behavior patterns, and long-term implications before diving into implementation. This perspective helps me design tools that are not only functional, but resilient and scalable.
Systems Thinking in Practice
- Designed and implemented GIS-based emergency response mapping tools (State of NH)
- Contributed to and supported large-scale alert infrastructure used by institutions worldwide (Regroup SaaS platform)
- Architected full-stack applications across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers
- Structured projects with version control, environment separation, and production deployment workflows
